A planar ultra-wideband dual-polarized reflectarray of tightly coupled dipoles is presented. The unit cell structure of the array is modular in nature, with its dipoles arranged in an egg-crate configuration to support dual-polarization. The array is designed for broadside operation and exhibits more than 5:1 frequency bandwidth, maintaining an active VSWR < 2.5. To introduce the required phase shift at each unit cell meandered true-time delay lines organized also in the planar configuration, are used, making the proposed reflectarray extremely compact.
